The Figulla Flex II UNI is an implant used to close fenestrated (multifenestrated) atrial septal defects, i.e. several smaller defects which a conventional Figulla Flex II ASD / Figulla Flex II PFO would not be able to completely close. Closure of an atrial septal defect is indicated in the presence of clinical symptoms (dyspnoea and cardiac insuficiency) and where a significant left-right shunt exists (Qp:Qs ≥ 1.5).
The implant is introduced via a minimally invasive method using a catheter guide system.
